Passion is a random and arbitrary gift with neither rhyme
nor reason. Once given or discovered there is usually very
little to do but enjoy the ride. I used to think my passion was
semi-sweet dark chocolate, but I've learned that that's merely
an addiction. Depending on your point of view, I've either
been blessed or cursed with an uncontrollable appetite for
macro photography.

By exploring flowers with my camera I am able to capture a
portion of nature that very few people ever see. The lines and
shapes of flowers are endlessly fascinating and offer a brand-new
world.

I use a 35mm Nikon camera with slide film, macro lenses and
an assortment of tubes and diopters which allow me to focus
extremely close. I can usually be found crawling around on the
ground looking for the hidden beauty of flowers.
